Why wouldn't Princess Leia, Star Wars, be a Disney Princess?

      • Would You Like to See PRINCESS LEIA On the List of DISNEY PRINCESSES?         ***Then, PLEASE POST YOUR RESPONSES! ***
      • Is Princess Leia on the list of Disney Princesses?*** Nope, not even as a potential one. And, there's major irony here. The real Princess Leia of Star Wars may be based on a true-to-life Princess, (or royalty of about 13 countries, per DNA), who's a cousin of Walt Disney, and of the actress, Carrie Fisher. Therefore, Princess Leia may not be part of the Disney Franchise, (and there's reasons for this), but, she's still a real life "Disney Princess".

Everyone wants absolute facts about everything they need to know about the final episode of the STAR WARS franchise.

The most talked about characters are many including
would we be seeing Luke again?
why Absolutely!.
Other facts is why do we hear the few sentences "Your Journey.....nears it's end" and then a laugh from Darth Sidious (Also known as "Supreme Leader" and mostly known as "Lord Palpatine") the shriveling old man underneath a dark black hood that first appeared in STAR WARS: Return of the Jedi (Darth Vader killed him supposedly by throwing him down an air vent)  and the STAR WARS prequels. A name for Star Wars fans

I've seen different names for different groups of fans. Trekkies for Star Trek, Whovians for Doctor Who. I think given the original trilogy and the sequel trilogy and current cartoon, the name Rebels would be a good one for Star wars fans. Any comments on the suggestion below would be appreciated. Share Your Star Wars Standalone Movie Pitch

The Force Awakens will be in theaters in just two months! And while anticipation for that film has reached fever pitch, fans thoughts are already turning to the NEXT Star Wars movie, Rogue One, coming out in 2016.

Rogue One is the first standalone Star Wars movie in the on-going “Star Wars Story,” or “Anthology,” series which will tell tales of characters and events in the Galaxy Far, Far Away which diverge from the story of the main saga films. The second is a planned “early Han Solo movie” due in 2018. What’s coming after THAT? We don’t know, but it’s fun to speculate.

Do YOU have a Twitter-length pitch for a Star Wars standalone? We want to hear it! We’ll take the best submissions and include them in an upcoming Star Wars Standalone Wishlist video.…

Luke Skywalker Web Comic Released in English

The popular Korean Star Wars web comic, focusing on the story of the original trilogy as told from Luke Skywalker's perspective, is now officially available in English on LINE Webtoon.

Starting today, fans can read new installments of the comic each Thursday and Sunday on the LINE Webtoon website for free.

The comic has had Star Wars fans buzzing because it reinterprets certain events from the original trilogy, leading to speculation over its canonicity. Lucasfilm's Jennifer Heddle responded to fan questions saying the comic exists in a canon "grey area."

Renowned Korean artist Hong Jacga, a Star Wars fan himself, created the comic. In it he reconstructs events from the movies while including main characters, backgrounds and locations consis…

Star Wars at Wizard World Comic Con Nashville

This past weekend, I had the opportunity to attend the Wizard World Comic Con in Nashville, courtesy of Wikia. Much thanks to them, as it was a great experience and I got to attend some neat panels, such as a presentation by Jim Cummings, who Star Wars fans will know as w:c:starwars:Hondo Ohnaka (and who, yes, will be returning as the voice of Ohnaka in the character's upcoming appearances on Star Wars Rebels) and also one by Michael Golden, who worked on one of the Star Wars comics. In non-Star Wars related news, I attended a major panel featuring Jewel Staite and Adam Baldwin, known for appearing together on the show Firefly, as well as a thoughtful panel about strong female characters in media.

I've got a lot more coming in the next couple days…

Rebels Review: Fire Across the Galaxy

My thoughts on the season 1 finale of Star Wars Rebels Fire Across the Galaxy it was shorter than i expected i assumed it would be 44 minutes as opposed to the regular 22 minutes and i was expecting a larger battle at the end but it was still great to see Ahsoka Tano is still alive and well in the series and Darth Vader appearing is also a bonus i suspect some interesting interactions between the two in season 2.

Review: Heir to the Jedi

WARNING: Major plot spoilers for both Heir to the Jedi and Star Wars Rebels follow.

The new era of Star Wars canon is an exciting time for many fans, myself included. I never read many Legends (Expanded Universe) books, so, to me, we're seeing the advent of a whole new era for Star Wars and the release of so many untold stories. Between the fun adventure of A New Dawn and the psychological exploration of Tarkin, not to mention the spectacular Star Wars Rebels and the exciting new comics from Marvel, the future is very bright.

Not every story will be great, though, and Heir to the Jedi is, unfortunately, the first canon misstep. It's certainly not that bad by any means, don't get me wrong, and it has plenty of enjoyable moments, but it lands flat and doesn't…

Review: Marvel's Star Wars 1 and 2

This is a review of Marvel's Star Wars #1, released last month; and Star Wars #2, released last week. Spoilers follow.

Having been very busy lately, I wasn't able to post a review of the first two issues of Marvel's first new Star Wars comic series—aptly titled Star Wars—until now. But considering Darth Vader #1 is coming out on Wednesday (followed by Darth Vader #2 in two weeks), I thought now was as good a time as any.

I feel like I should be clear up front: I've never been that into Star Wars Legends, which used to be called the Expanded Universe. There have been a number of Legends comics series set between Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and Star Wars: Episode V The Empire Strikes Back, but I haven't read any of them. I therefore have no past Legend…

J.J. Abrams Talks About The Force Awakens - No, Seriously

J.J. Abrams is notoriously tight-lipped about his films, and Star Wars: The Force Awakens is no exception. We still know very little about the film, and that's just the way he wants it. Which makes it all the more interesting when he does talk about The Force Awakens, which he recently did at the Visual Effects Society Awards, where he was accepting the Visionary Award.

Of course, J.J. didn't say much—we're still over ten months away from The Force Awakens, after all. Still, he talked a bit about the process used to create the film's special effects—they used practical effects wherever they could and wherever it made sense, but there will still obviously be a ton of CGI in the movie—as well as the mysterious new crossguard lightsaber. Apparently…

Review: Star Wars Rebels: Call to Action

This is an advance review for "Call to Action," tonight's episode if Star Wars Rebels. It was released last week on WatchDisneyXD.com and the WatchDisneyXD app. Spoilers follow.

"Call to Action," tonight's episode of Star Wars Rebels, is poised to be a game-changer for the show. Ever since the premiere, Spark of Rebellion, the rebels have generally been successful in their fight against the Empire, but these operations have been small-time ones. They've generally all centered around Lothal, with attacks against the Imperial presence there. But these attacks add up, and they have not gone unnoticed.

Enter Grand Moff Wilhuff Tarkin.

Tarkin—once again voiced by Stephen Stanton, reprising his role from Star Wars: The Clone Wars—arrives on Lothal and …

Report: Felicity Jones to Star in Gareth Edwards' Star Wars Film

The Hollywood Reporter is reporting that Felicity Jones, the Oscar-nominated star of the Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything, is the favorite to play the female lead in the first Star Wars spinoff film, which will be directed by Gareth Edwards. According to THR, Jones is now in talks to star in the film, set to be released on December 16, 2016.

Last week, Chris Weitz was hird to work on the film's screenplay. The first draft was written by Gary Whitta, who departed the project after completing his draft. Previous reports have indicated that Tatiana Maslany (Orphan Black) and sisters Rooney Mara (The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo) and Kate Mara (House of Cards) were also in consideration for the female lead.

Oscar Isaac: Star Wars Fans Will "Be in Ecstasy" Over Episode VII

Oscar Isaac, who stars as Poe Dameron in this year's Star Wars: The Force Awakens, has been fielding a lot of Star Wars questions while promoting his most recent film, A Most Violent Year. In a conversation with The Huffington Post, Isaac commented on whether or not fans and non-fans alike will be happy with the film:

The last three films weren’t received with as much fervor as the first three. So is "The Force Awakens" a movie that fans of the original 1980s trilogy will be happy with?
Abso-frickin-lutely. Without question. I think particularly fans of the universe will just be in ecstasy. But I think that even people that haven’t -- there are believe it or not still people that haven't seen or are not fans. I think this will win a lot of new fa…

In the episode, Tarkin travels to Lothal after the Imperial forces there have failed time and time again to defeat the rebellious crew of the Ghost. Paul S. Kemp Talks "Lords of the Sith"

Paul S. Kemp, author of the upcoming canon novel Lords of the Sith, took to Facebook to talk a bit about the novel, which as of now will be released in a little under three months. Specifically, Kemp talked about his approach to writing Darth Vader:

It's good to hear that Vader will be portrayed as menacing, as that was always one of Vader's biggest selling points. What most intrigues me, however, isn't Vader; it's his master. I am very curious about how Darth Sidious will be portrayed in Lords of the Sith. In the most recent novel, Tarkin by James Luceno, it was revealed that Sidious had handed over the day-to-day management of the Empire to a Ruling Council, with Grand Vizier Mas Amedda as his voice. The Emperor himself only emerges when his…

Star Wars Rebels: Season Two Nearly Twice as Long as Season One

Great news for fans of Star Wars Rebels! The show's second season, which will make its global debut at Celebration Anaheim in April (and then presumably airing sometime this fall), will have nearly twice as many episodes as the first season. So says series star Freddie Prinze Jr, who voices Kanan Jarrus:

As a fan of Rebels myself, this is great news. The biggest sticking point I have with the otherwise enjoyable first season is that the show feels rushed. Take the episode "Breaking Ranks," for example, where Ezra infiltrates the Imperial Academy in order to steal an Imperial decoder. The episode begins a few weeks into his time in the Academy. If that had been an episode of Star Wars: The Clone Wars, I'd like to think it would have been at leas…

Lando Calrissian and Hondo Ohnaka to Return in Star Wars Rebels

Fresh off of an appearance in "Idiot's Array," one of the most recent episodes of Star Wars Rebels, Billy Dee Williams has confirmed that there will be more appearances for Lando Calrissian in the Disney animated series. Speaking to Jordan Maison of Cinelinx, Williams said, in response to a blunt question about whether he would return again:

"Yeah! There's more adventures with Lando coming up."

This shouldn't come as too much of a surprise to those who saw "Idiot's Array." When we meet Lando in that episode, he's very much in the beginning of a brand new career and is looking to mine some land on Lothal—an operation that could very well one day lead him to the tibanna gas mine of Cloud City. Even Lando knew at the end of "Idiot's Array" that …

2014: The Year in Star Wars Fandom

2014 was a huge year for so many different fandoms, and Star Wars was no exception. This year was HUGE for Star Wars, with the release of The Clone Wars: The Lost Missions, the beginning of The Clone Wars Legacy, the creation of a new Star Wars canon, the release of Star Wars Rebels, and, last but not least, the first teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. And the best part is that it's only going to get bigger once The Force Awakens hits theaters, and more and more films, TV episodes, books, comics, and games are released.

To celebrate some of the biggest fandom moments of 2014, Wikia created a project called 2014: The Year in Fandom, chronicling pop culture moments from 2014. Fans from Wikia worked with video creators from Maker Studios to c…

Yoda Returns in Star Wars Rebels

Excited, you should be: Jedi Master Yoda will be appearing in "Path of the Jedi," the next episode of Star Wars Rebels! The news was revealed by TV Guide. There is a catch, of course: we'll only be hearing his voice, not actually seeing him. But the voice will be none other than the legendary Frank Oz, who famously portrayed Yoda in five out of six live-action films (including being the character's puppeteer before Yoda became CGI in Star Wars: Episode II Attack of the Clones). The character was also masterfully voiced by Tom Kane in Star Wars: The Clone Wars.

In the episode, the voice of Yoda offers counsel to Kanan and Ezra, two of the lead characters in the series. As to why Yoda will only appear as a voice, executive producer Dave Filoni sa…

Where is Luke Skywalker in The Force Awakens?

This post contains rumors for Episode VII and therefore may contain SPOILERS!

There's been a few rumors in the past about how there might be some sort of superweapon in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and Star Wars Fanpedia has learned that these rumors may well be true.

From what we've heard, this weapon, whatever it may be, is likely organic in nature, and may coincide with the whereabouts of a character who is missing, a character that the new generation of heroes—Finn (John Boyega), Rey (Daisy Ridley), and Poe Dameron (Oscar Isacc)—set out to find. With the help of Han Solo and Princess Leia, of course.

Luke Skywalker.

Past rumors about Luke's whereabouts have included him being in captivity, as well as being in seclusion because he has become …
