5-25-77 is an upcoming film written and directed by Patrick Read Johnson. The film is an autobiographical account of Johnson while he was a young, aspiring filmmaker who found inspiration from the release of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope on May 25, 1977. The film charts his time growing up in Illinois, falling in love, and becoming a fan of Star Wars.

The film, previously titled '77, has been in production since as early as 2007, when it was touted and shown at festivals and conventions. The final version of the film was scheduled for release in 2012, but the filmmakers are still working to complete it. Gary Kurtz, the producer of Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope and Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, is a producer on the film.
