Challenge of the Sith is a 2001 fan film written by Brian Tomaselli, and directed by Scott Schlosser and Paul Steinbrenner. It takes place a millennium before the Rise of the Empire (before the prequel trilogy). It tells the story about Darth Sedra (formerly Jedi Terra Nor) and her apprentices (Douz and Yun) launch a plan to bring down a Jedi training center.

CHALLENGE OF THE SITH

One thousand years before the rise
of the Empire, it is a time of great
tension for the Galactic Republic. The
Jedi Knights, guardians of peace and 
justice in the galaxy, are about to face
their greatest challenge.

The Sith, who have been lurking in the
shadows for many years, have
determined that now is the time to
begin the bold attack against the 
Jedi Order.

Led by Darth Sedra, two dark warriors
have been dispatched to a Jedi
Training Facility. These Dark Lords
are about to lead the first of many
strikes against the Galactic Republic
and the Jedi Knights…

The film takes place 981 years after A Question of Faith and 1,000 years before Episode III. It also takes place 987 years before Episode I.
Yun also shares the same name as one of Jerec's Dark Jedi from Dark Forces II: Jedi Knight.
Ulic and Cay Qel-Droma and Exar Kun are the only three EU characters mentioned in the film.
Darth Bane, who was never mentioned nor didn't appear in the film, was 7 years old at the time.
Scott, Heather, and Sandra Schlosser are related to each other in real-life, as well as Brian and Audra Tomaselli (neé Gabler), Paul and Jodi Steinbrenner, Matt and Joanna Vale, and also Alexis and Tina Drnjevich.
