While Humans have always been the main characters of the Star Wars Saga, the aliens of Star Wars have always played very visible roles in expanding the galaxy far, far away. There's a reason that the Mos Eisley cantina scene is so popular and iconic; once Luke Skywalker stepped through that door, he (and, through him, the audience) was in a new and exotic place that showed him people and species that he had never seen before.

The rest of the Star Wars films continued to show great aliens, and I would imagine that the sequel trilogy and spinoff films will be no different. What kinds of aliens do you want to see in the new movies? They could be ones from canon, or maybe new ones that you've thought of.

    • I'd love to see them explore new planets that might show new aliens, or planets we have briefly seen but will expand on in the sequel trilogy. I would love to see more Wookiees, because Chewbacca is my favorite, lol, but I think it would also be cool if they brought in even more aliens and planets to show how many species are really spread across the Galaxy, and how in-depth the Star Wars universe actually is. Perhaps expand on species like the Rodians (Greedo's species) more? I'd love to see them go to a place like Nar Shadda, as it was shown in the Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 video game; there were so many different species present there. I think it would be cool to see the main characters have to travel there and deal with the mercenaries and thugs there, primarily consisting of Rodians and Gran, with some innocent bystanders that may help them along the way, although that may be too similar to the video game, which is considered Expanded Universe material. I think they should also incorporate the intervention of the Hutts into it again. There is no doubt in my mind that Coruscant and the many species present on that planet will probably be in the films. I also think they should use species like the Nemoidians again; I feel some of the younger fans thought species like the Nemoidians were only alive in the Prequel Trilogy and when Anakin slaughtered the Separatist Council, the entire species ceased to exist. I feel like they would add some suspense to the film because they certainly did in The Phantom Menace because you were wondering when one of them would say the wrong thing and die at the hands of Lord Sidious. I don't know, those are just a few thoughts. :)

    • Since there are already Wookiees and Ewoks, I imagine a small, furry creature that's like a mini Wookiee. It would be like the Chewbacca of the new trilogy, but wouldn't have a very big role. I know that the new trilogy is supposed to avoid being "cute", but I think that having one huggable supporting character wouldn't be overkill.

Also, I hope that Rodians return. Maybe they could be doing dirty work for the new villains.

Wasn't an Ewok already a mini Wookie?

I'd like to see the Nikto and, maybe, some Rakata and a bit of galactic history...

    • seeing as we wont be seeing KoTOR being spun into movies, it'll being interesting to see some of those elements being added into the trilogies at least. an exile like story or even the hunt across the galaxy for something powerful to turn the tide of a war - like the starforge after discovering individual star maps. cpild even feature the sith academies on korriban instead of focusing on the jedi council; can have the valley of dark lords then too

Yeah, I guess. But they were diferent enough. I'm talking about an alien that's literally a really short Wookie. Something like this:

A mini Wookiee, but with a different species name.

    • They would have to have the creature be bipedal....hard to relate to something that looks like a pet.
