We've all heard the recent rumors that Ewan McGregor will play the ghost of Obi-Wan Kenobi in Star Wars Episode VII. We still don't know if there's any truth to it, but, if there is, the actor himself is willing to reprise the role he played in the prequel trilogy.
Speaking to Marc Malkin from E! at the Toronto Film Festival, where the actor was attending the premiere of his new film August: Osage County, McGregor said that the producers "haven't phoned me yet," but, if they did, "I'd be up for it."
McGregor playing Obi-Wan again might be strange, given that the last time we saw the character he was played by Alec Guinness and was a much older (and deader) man than he was during the height of the Clone Wars. "I would be Alec Guinness by now, wouldn't I? I don't know how that would work," McGregor said, though when it comes to CGI and make-up, he did mention that "anything's possible nowadays."
He ended by saying "I'm available!"
