Neill Blomkamp, the director of District 9 and this year's Elysium, recently chatted with IGN about his new film. The topic of course turned to Star Wars, however, with Blomkamp's name being mentioned as a possible director for a future installment of the saga. Even though many of his fans would like to see him direct a Star Wars film, Blomkamp himself isn't as enthusiastic about directing one:
- "No. I don’t think [I would direct Star Wars]. I love Star Wars. I really, really love Star Wars. But I'm not the right guy. And also, just taking ideas that already exist in Hollywood is just not for me."
