Oscar Isaac X-Wing Pilot
This post contains rumors for Episode VII and therefore may contain SPOILERS!

Over the last few months, we've heard a lot of rumors about what the plot of Star Wars: The Force Awakens might be. A lot of it has centered around the idea that the movie begins with the discovery of Luke Skywalker's lightsaber, and that the characters will embark on a search to find him. At Fanpedia, we've heard more about how the film may begin—exclusively, we can tell you how Oscar Isaac's character comes into play during the first act of the film.

You've probably heard the rumors that the movie opens, as all Star Wars movies should, with a massive object floating through space. However, it's slowly revealed that we're not looking at a gigantic spaceship at all, but a familiar lightsaber, clutched by a severed robotic hand.

Presumably, the saber falls to the surface of a desert planet where it's recovered by scavengers and somehow comes into the possession of Daisy Ridley's character. It's also been previously rumored that Ridley's village is attacked by Imperial stormtroopers (guess we know where they're headed in that trailer scene). The forces mercilessly torch the place, but one of the troopers, John Boyega's character, refuses to obey orders. Why? Your guess is as good as ours, but might he have felt the awakening?

What hasn't been reported until now...

Boyega's character is captured and thrown in the brig. It's there that he meets a Rebel Alliance (or whatever they're called nowadays) pilot who was shot down during the attack, played by Oscar Isaac (as seen in the trailer). The two form an uneasy bond and make a harrowing escape.

We aren't exactly sure how the pair meet Ridley's character, but she agrees to help them get off-world. She helps Isaac salvage his busted X-wing by strapping it to a massive pig-like creature—you can read more about that on MakingStarWars.net's latest post.

What happens next? Well, we can't say for sure, but if you're looking to secure safe passage off of a desert planet, and to avoid any Imperial entanglements, there's only one person you can trust, right?

We'll have more on the opening act of Star Wars: The Force Awakens later this week on Star Wars Fanpedia. Stay tuned!
