Big news for fans of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Lucasfilm has released, via StarWars.com, four brand new episodes of the show. Granted, there is a catch: they are not fully completed, and the animation is only as a story reel. However, the four episodes are voiced by the main cast and still provide four new, canonical stories in the Star Wars galaxy.

The four episodes make up an arc called "Crystal Crisis on Utapau." The episodes are named "A Death on Utapau," "In Search of the Crystal," "Crystal Crisis," and "The Big Bang," and show Obi-Wan and Anakin on a dangerous journey to find a crystal of great power. The episodes take place on Utapau, the sinkhole planet first seen in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith.

You can learn more about the episodes, and hear more about the comic Darth Maul: Son of Dathomir and the upcoming Asajj Ventress novel (now titled Dark Disciple), in a video from StarWars.com:

UPDATE: An earlier version of this story stated that there are only three episodes in this new arc. There are actually four, but StarWars.com is currently experiencing technical difficulties in displaying "Crystal Crisis." We have updated this story to reflect that fact.
